Hey everyone! I wanted to keep you all updated!

I just got done buying her a new computer on my lunch break. I wanted to thank EVERYBODY for doing what you all did!

I know my original limit was $700 for a computer, but everyone kept donating so I felt that I should splurge a bit over the budget to get her a really nice computer that would hold all her stuff and run super fast for her school programs. So on my Lunch at work, I went to Best Buy and looked around. I knew some of the things that were important to her, like a program she uses (After Effects) needed at least 2GHz. I also knew a lot of space was important too since she works with 3D animation and needs space.

That is when I came across this:

A Dell Inspiron 530-120B.

It has a whopping 750GB of space and 2.8 GHz. It also has 6 GB RAM which can be upgraded to 8GB.

There were lots of bells and whistles too, such as 8 USB ports, DVD-RW/CD-RW, and SD Card Readers. I mean, take a look :3 I think that may be a firewire plug in too...

It was $650 for just the desktop. On top of that I bought her a 20 Inch Monitor ([link] , [link]) to go with it that was $180. I wasn't able to get her a warranty, but the guy gave me 14 days to get one for her, so I think her Dad is going to buy a 2 year warranty (it already comes with a 1 year manufacture warranty for parts and labor).

With taxes, I spent a total of $910.30. I don't think it is too bad and I think I got something good for that price. When the other donations drop to my checking account, I'll go out and buy her some new SD Cards that she can plug into her computer :3

So, this is the fruit of everyone's love and support! I really hope you are all pleased with how your donations were spent. I really wanted to get a computer that was best for her. I didn't get a laptop because it wasn't able to expand over time like a desktop is. Like if a graphic card goes out of date, you can't replace it or upgrade on a laptop. Since she still has 3 years left of school, I wanted a computer that would grow with her and stay with her after her schooling. That is why I went with a desktop I hope you all agree!
